Awareness Through Movement Classes
In order to create lasting change in any part of our lives we must first become of aware of what we are doing. But all too often we get busy and forget to tune it.
As children, it was through movement that we explored our world. We spent the first three years developing and refining how we interact with our environment. By the time we were standing and walking we were expert navigators moving with simplicity and grace. However, as we aged we were often influenced by those around us taking on habits and attitudes that may have been useful at the time but are now interfering in our everyday lives.
Learning to slow down and listen to our bodies is what makes Awareness Through Movement lessons so powerful for creating the necessary change toward stronger and healthier bodies. The lessons that you learn are applicable to every aspect of your life from standing at the kitchen sink, washing dishes to participating in a Pilates class.
When you let go of old worn out patterns of thought and movement you are also clearing a path towards enhanced creativity and an overall feeling of well-being.
